The Ceremony
In today’s fast-paced, distracted lives, we often struggle to deeply connect with our personal dilemmas—aging, illness, loss, and other universal challenges of the human experience.
These issues, intrinsic to life, are frequently left unresolved due to our busy minds and packed schedules.
The psilocybin ceremony at Sati Retreats offers a sacred space to step away from these distractions and immerse yourself in profound self-exploration. Guided by an experienced “mujer medicina” from Oaxaca and supported by professional psychologists, the ceremony combines ancient traditions with modern therapeutic care. In this safe and supportive environment, participants can deeply engage with their emotions and experiences, individually and within a group.
Through music, gradual medicine intake, and attentive guidance, the ceremony facilitates healing, self-discovery, and even transformative insights into the nature of reality and existence.
Breathwork
In our daily lives, we often suppress or avoid difficult emotions, relying on distractions, substances, or routines to cope. This can create emotional blockages and a sense of disconnection, leaving us stuck in repetitive, automatic patterns.
The somatic breathing session at Sati Retreats offers a space to break free from these constraints and deeply reconnect with your emotions.
Designed to integrate insights from the psilocybin ceremony, this session uses dynamic and energetic breathing techniques to help participants access, express, and release repressed emotions in a safe, supportive environment.
Guided by professionals, the process encourages participants to engage fully with their feelings, voice, and movement, allowing them to reclaim spontaneity, freedom, and emotional balance, fostering a profound sense of integration and renewal.
Meditation
Meditation is a cornerstone of the Sati Retreats experience, rooted in over 12 years of practice and teaching. It serves as a powerful tool for cultivating mindfulness and deepening self-awareness, offering therapeutic benefits that extend to participants’ lives and relationships. Recent research highlights fascinating parallels between meditation and psilocybin, as both deactivate the brain’s default mode network, fostering states of openness and presence.
At Sati Retreats, meditation is woven into each day, incorporating techniques such as walking, seated, and interpersonal meditation. Silence is also encouraged, minimizing distractions and unnecessary conversation to protect the depth of participants’ processes.
To prepare for the retreat, participants are asked to establish a daily meditation practice weeks in advance, gently introducing them to conscious engagement with their inner world. This foundation supports their retreat experience and helps sustain the therapeutic insights and progress made during the program, integrating them into daily life for lasting transformation.
